Electric Transformers – Transforming electricity in industrial automation, making a sure separation between two tensions.

Electric transformers are being used in industrial automation to make a sure separation between two tensions, for example 230VAC Input and 24VAC Output. Basically an electric transfo consists out of one laminated iron frame, and two copper coils winded round this frame and each other, but electrical isolated from each other. The transformation of the tension is reached by the physical aspect of the coils, where by means of induction, the tension is transferred and transformed.

Thus an electrical transformer is used in almost every industrial automation manufacturing installation. Often the for example 24VAC output is equalised to 24VDC. Since 24VDC is considered as a low an safe tension in industrial automation machines and installation.

Be sure to always install a high quality transformers, since poor quality transformers often can cause problems with the connected components, due to for example a faulty earth connection, oran unstable tension.
