Google – Do you remember the days on the internet before Google came into existence? When you wanted to find information about a certain topic? I do. Often irrelevant information would turn up, making you spend a lot of time on searches, and then sometimes no really finding where looking for. This was in 1996. And then Google came along. You would notice the difference directly. The search results where more on topic, or even perfect, giving you the info you were looking for immediately. And one could also sense the difference in company culture, in it's user friendly approach of things. This search engine enables users to search the Internet and find relevant information, enables them to search the Usenet, and enables them to search for relevant images. Search results are being put in the cache memory of the search engine. So even if the page is off-line, you can still see it when you click “cache”. An other feature is the Google-Directory. Based on www.dmoz.org and the own PageRank algorithm, within each category, a searchable directory has been created. It is been used by Goog-leitself to check the relevance of web-pages, and web-sites for humans, since www.dmoz.org is being constantly edited by humans. The next feature enables you to keep yourself in contact with family and friends for free over the internet. This feature is Google-Chat. When you are using Google-Mail, you will notice this feature also, when there is a green dot next to your contacts name, then they are online and you can start chatting immediately.
