MySpace is a social network website that came into existence in August 2003. Employees of the company , called at that time, eUniverse, now called Intermix Media, decided that they could build their own social-network site, based on what the saw as users of Friendster. In only 10 days time they where ready for launch. They had been facilitated with a complete business infrastructure by the mother company, thus not having to worry about the usual start-up problems.
