Robotics – Engineering robots for industrial automation.

Robotics – This department of engineering and science deals with the development of robots. A robot is a combination of mechanics, electronic parts and software. That is why a lot of different disciplines are involved to build a robot that is suited for it's task. The second place I want to mention to you is The-Robotics-Institute. It is a department of the Carnegie Mellon University and was established in 1978. They conduct basic research and also applied research in the field-of-robotics.
